With the support of the participating companies, Moda Makers Digital has been confirmed. The event will give clients from around the world the chance to discover and purchase creations from area’s companies through Moda Makers Digital dedicated web portal
COVID-19 has not halted Moda Makers. The SME event from the clothing-textile sector has become a fixture in Carpi and, in June, the first edition of Moda Makers Digital will be staged. This version will be completely online and will allow buyers from across the world, who usually attend the three-day event in Carpi, to view samples. These include packaging, knitwear, tailored garments, shirts and outerwear; the garments can be browsed without attendees leaving their home country. This is thanks to an online portal, which is safe for both buyers and exhibitors, that which has been designed to allow the companies to show their creations, come into contact with clients and take orders.
The innovative formula for the event, one that has been developed by the organisers – Carpi Fashion System and the Consorzio Expo Modena – since the start of the Coronavirus emergency, is being finalised. The decision to go ahead with the event came after a significant number of exhibiting companies that have taken part in Moda Makers over the past four years agreed to participate.
More details on how the event will be staged and on the participating companies will be announced over coming weeks.
“Innovation has been one of the key features of the Carpi Fashion System project – commented Stefania Gasparini, Deputy Mayor and Counsellor for Economics and Culture for Carpi Municipal Council. Therefore, it would be paradoxical if now, during an emergency that often calls for alternative methods of working, we don’t take advantage of the potential of information technology to allow our companies to continue to do business, showing their Made in Italy, high-fashion collections to buyers not just in Europe but from around the world, for example, Japan. If moving between countries is limited, if not impossible, this does not mean that supply and demand needs cannot be met on the web. We will do everything to ensure that this edition of Moda Makers Digital is as satisfying as possible in the hope that, in November, we can all meet in Carpi.”
Carpi Fashion System is the District’s company support project promoted by CNA, LAPAM-Confartigianato, Confindustria Emilia, Comune di Carpi and the Camera di Commercio di Modena, with the fundamental contribution of the Fondazione CR Carpi.
